The Office Diva
I started blogging way back in 2004 when Yahoo 360 was still around. I started writing fashion blog in 2014 when I was a mother of 2, but my blog was mostly for a circle of friends.
When I was 12, my family entered the fashion industry. Growing up in the fashion business is not the only reason to explain my love for fashion. It started at a really early age. I remember when I was 5, I started making doll clothes. I still do that now, for my daughters.
Growing up in a third world country, I had no idea what mixing and matching rules were. I knew I would try clothes on and stand in front of the mirror for a “Yay” or “Nay”. I believed in my own taste. No particular rule.
I do modeling once in a while, and my photographer friend would say I have a classic and elegant style. It deems true for my fashion style as well. I like something classic, simple and chic.
I do Informatics and Analytics for a living. Besides my full time job, I have some other gigs. I am a licensed real estate agent, a faculty member at a local college, and an entrepreneur at heart with a couple different business ventures.
I go to work every day with a mind set of always putting myself together regardless if it rains or shines, and regardless if I am a ball of energy or under the weather. Throughout my 11 years career working in corporate, I was always known as an “office diva” for my love in fashion.
Last week, my coworker stopped by my desk and told me that she signed up for a program to get advices on how to dress for work on a daily basic. That inspired me to make a debut on my fashion blog, not simply share what in trend, but also how to mix and match pieces that already exist in the closet for every day go-to-work style.
And this is just to announce the debut of “The Office Diva”, previously known as “Vintage Lady Blog” or “The Vietnamese Bostonian Blogger”.
