Perfect dress for a wedding Strapless blush dress from H&M Conscious Collection. I love the fitted belt and how the pleats start slower. This created a unique and classy look for the dress. If you want it to look extra vintage, add a belt like I did. I wore this to my cousin's wedding and got tons of compliments on it. A lot of people could not believe it was under $100. I was sitting at the receptionist table and handling out wedding favors. This dress did a great job in putting me into spotlights :) In collaborating with the bride, my cousin, I wore an ivory pair of shoes. Love the feminine look of the ruffles and bows. Pros: Made me look taller and skinnier. Also, I believe if you take pictures at a right angel, you will also look a lot thinner. Cons: Made my chest look smaller as this is a smaller size that what I normally wear. I love this dress so much the first time I tried it on that I was willing to take whatever size that was available. About the outfit: Dress: H&M Conscious Strapless dress size 32 (I normally wear size 36 at H&M) Shoes: Franco Sarto Ruffle Heels from Nordstrom Belt: Unbranded (borrowed from my niece and I believe she bought it in Vietnam. I saw that Express had a similar style) Earrings: I was craving for over-sized rose earrings at that time so I took that opportunity to wear those earrings with this outfit. Please excuse the quality of pictures taken from my phone. I promise higher quality pictures will be posted below when I wore this dress to a recognition event. To a recognition event:
I also wore this dress last summer to a recognition event. As I went on stage with more than 2000 audiences, I aimed to wear something that would make me stand out, but not too much for a career-recognition event. I chose this dress. Because I was wearing my name tag, so I could not wear necklace. This time I chose nude shoes and straight hair. I always adore nude heels because the skin color would do a great job in extending your legs. It was great that this dress came in nude/blush color so it matched perfectly with my shoes. I did gain some weights at this time. If you notice, the dress looked a lot tighter compared to my cousin's wedding. Still love it regardless. |
