Scarf: Jcrew Navy Blue Polka Dot Scarf Earrings: Betsy Johnson Oversize Rosette Earrings Sweater: Forever 21 Sweater in Nude color Skirt: H&M Teal Midi Skirt Tights: Jcrew Factory Tights (love them so so much) Booties: Coach Booties I went to an Christmas Event at Church, and took pictures with our Santa Claus in Asian version. He was so cute that he was willing to take pictures with me :) Pearl necklace, black mini dress worn as a T shirt, and red jacquar skirt for dinner at my crime buddy''s house made a very classy look. I bought this black minidress from H&M during their crazy sales last summer for $5. This skirt was bought in Vietnam for 250,000 VND which equal to about $12 USD. I borrowed my friend's necklace. The total cost for this look was just $17 which made me extremely happy!!! I was lucky to find this dress on sales couple days before Christmas. I love its lace, very elegant but not delicate like the common problem we have with lace. The length is my favorite, and the style is very classic. This color is perfect for Christmas, but I would love to buy this dress in nude as well, before my size is gone. Besides the delicate fabric that I am afraid of lace, it is a challenge when we gain a little bit of weight. You don't want your dress to...tear off when you are dancing. For this reason, I especially love this dress that it has stretchy fabric on the side, which works well to great a slimmer effect.
Dress: H&M Vintage Lace Dress Belt: Red Floral Belt (old) Shoes: Clear White Peep Toes (Ebay) Knowing that a lot of people would wear red to church today, I wanted to dress my family something different that it would still pop, but can easily to blend right in this atmosphere. Fuchsia was the top option, and the little girl love pink. I have a fuchsia coat from J.crew which was perfect for this theme. For the bottom, I chose White House Black Market Midi full skirt. It looked like it had lace details, but these were actually printed on the skirt. I hate wearing lace when I was with the kids because their shoes would damage lace fabric easily. I had been in love with gold glittered shoes and I couldn't wait until today to wear them. Sweater: The Limited (old) Necklace: The Limited Necklace (old) Skirt: White House Black Market Midi Full Skirt (on sale from $119 to $59.99) Shoes: Marc Fisher Gold Glittered Peep Toes Coat: Jcrew Bag: Prada Saffiano Tote BN1786 in Graphite With Christmas inspiration, I thought of Red immediately. However, it would be quite boring for the whole family to red. Therefore, I decided to do mix and match. We only had an hour to take pictures before the kids started acting up. I prepared them with tights and the hair styles that would go with everything.
I bought my off-the-shoulders vintage dress from Modcloth last year and did get a ton of compliments. Of course, it became my top choice this year. Ivana, my older daughter is a very girly kid, and she loved her red dress that I bought for her on her Christmas show this year and had requested to wear this dress to take pictures. Elissa, her little sister is quite a character and she had that cute swing dress from Janie and Jack (that mommy wants to have one). The red and green combination reminded me of a Christmas tree. I originally wore a different skirt this morning to work. However, it was a split skirt, which wouldn't work for me being the host for a Christmas party at my house. I needed to be as comfortable as possible. Therefore, the need of having to watch the skirt every time I sit down or stand up would be a nightmare.
Of course, I had to dress up for the party. Midi length, floral print and full skirt are always my top choice. I got this dress a while back, and don't wear it as much because I got it during the last week of the summer. As I wore this feminie skirt, I paired it with a pearl headband and a black crystal necklace. This white sweater from Forever 21 was so soft and looked much more expensive than its $13 price tag. Vintage Floral Boat Neck Dress Falling in love with this floral maxi dress from the first sight!!!
I don't have a lot of clothes from Ann Taylor Loft. I happened to walk by Ann Taylor Loft store in Santana Rown in California and saw it on the mannequin. I came in and tried it on right away. It was $98. Knowing that was the first day the dress came out and it would go on sales at some points, I decided to walk away and could not sleep that night (kept thinking about the dress). When I came back to Boston, it was Memorial weekend, so lucky me, I found the whole store was 40% off. Couldn't be happier, especially when my niece offered to buy this for me as a birthday present. Love its feminine look, fly-away material and the split skirt. Look great taking pictures when it was a little bit windy. Forever 21 cut-out maxi dress in coral. I saw this dress on a Vietnamese celebrity and I wanted the dress badly. However, I did not know where to find it. We went to Utah for our business trip in July 2014, and on our last day, we stopped by Forever 21. I found some cool stuffs, and as I walked in the Sales section, I saw this dress marked down for $13. OMG, I thought my heart stopped beating for a couple seconds. I wanted this dress badly and it was right in front of me for $13. I wore this dress the next day. I love the cut-out shoulders as it slimmed down my arms a lot. The elastic waist also did a great job in defining my waist line and hiding my tummy. I originally saw that celebrity wore this dress with pink heels. What a wonderful dress to dress up with heels and dress down with flats.
