Not only that every single item in this store was unique, but every detail of the room decoration looked so vintage as well. The owner of this place must be into vintage because of the unique arrangement and the price of all the items were very decent. The price tag of my dress was $20. It I had lived in Utah, I would have bought everything including trunk, phone, typing machine, chairs, and the wardrobe. Here is a picture of my friend with the wardrobe. I ended up buying this bag, which was made in Italy and it was only $10. Hey, $10 is such a bargain for a Made in Italy bag, especially with its value and rarity. I travel to Utah quite a bit and I would visit this place every time I come. We did stay at this place for a long time to look at their collection and take pictures despite the fact that all other girls were hungry. It well worth the time and energy at the end for these vintage looking pictures that we wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. My friend and I look like the girls who walked out from the 19th century movies. In this last picture, it looked like I was waiting at the train station back in the old days. We were on a business trip in Utah in August 2014. I shared the hotel room with 4 other business partners. It is always fun to have "girls getaway trip" like this. We stayed at Marriot hotel which was across the street from our training and it was a busy street with a lot of stores. As we walked around the neighborhood to find a good restaurant for our dinner, we realized there was a store with amazing sales. They had the sales rack on the side walk and we saw a tons of gray sleeveless dresses with American flag for $5. We walked in the store with the idea of buying our uniform dresses for the night. Wouldn't it be fun to have 5 ladies with identical dresses in a hotel room???
As we came inside, we realized that this place had a mix collection of brand new clothes like what we saw at the sales rack and vintage goods, from clothing, bags, hats, accessories, trunks to wall decoration, home and office supplies. I picked out this dress to try on because it was among a few dresses that would fit me. Also, it looked very lady-like and most importantly, it reminded me of "Little House on the Prairie" TV series that filmed about a family in the 1870s and 1880s. |
